Maritza McClendon is a 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist and the first woman of color to make a U.S. Olympic Swim Team. Based in Atlanta, GA, she balances life as a wife, mother of two young children, and full-time professional, all while traveling the country to share her inspiring story.
Maritza is dedicated to advocating for water safety among minority communities and is on a mission to make swimming a conversation for all. She aims to inspire all generations to rise above challenges and conquer their fears.
